Witches Among Us Pt.2

The sin of rebellion is equal to witchcraft.  Here it is as a simple mathematical equation: Rebellion + Stubbornness = Witchcraft.  The Word of God could not be plainer! This doesn't require anyone to be a theologian or a rocket scientist to understand that the spirit of rebellion is wicked and dark in nature.  Once again, the Word gives us the insight into why this spirit is so difficult to overcome.  "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."(1 Corinthians 10:4-6)  As a rule: it is always wise to let the Bible interpret itself.  Therefore, the answers that we seek are always found in the scriptures.  By definition, biblical strongholds are defined as: "A house of thoughts".  This is the place where we truly live.  It is the realm of the soul, which is the "seat of our personality".  It is where our mind, will and emotions reside.  What we think, what we believe, and what determines our actions reside in our thoughts.  As a truth, many times what we think is not always correct.  There will always be those who no matter what, have to be right!  Sadly, these individuals, even when shown that their way of thinking is against the Word of God are still reluctant to repent and change.  More committed to the 'worship of their thoughts', they attempt to make the Word bow to their strongholds.  The danger of undying commitment to our thoughts is that there is a tendency to unconsciously erect an altar to our thoughts!  The result of rebellion is idolatry.  Idolatry is defined as: 1. the religious worship of idols; 2. excessive or blind adoration, reverence, or devotion.  Selah
